Sieda Community Action invites you to the Sneaker Soirée—our signature annual banquet and auction.
It’s a night where community comes together in comfortable shoes for a powerful purpose. Expect great food, music, inspiring speakers, lively bidding, and plenty of fellowship; all while raising critical funds to support families across Southern Iowa.
For over 60 years, Sieda Community Action has been working alongside our neighbors to address the causes and conditions of poverty. From helping families keep their homes warm and safe, to educating children, improving energy efficiency, preventing and treating substance use, and providing school supplies, meals, and holiday gifts; our work meets people where they are and helps them move forward. With your support, we’ll continue doing that work for years to come.
Last year alone, Sieda served more than 7,000 low-income families—over 15,000 individuals across 23 counties through our comprehensive, community-based programs.
And yes—sneakers are encouraged.
We’ll once again host our crowd-favorite Best Sneaker Contest, with entries accepted the night of the Soirée in four categories:
Most Unusual – One-of-a-kind kicks that stand out from the crowd
Most Colorful – The more color, the better
Best Duo – Coordinated sneakers with a partner
Rattiest – The most worn, well-loved, beat-up pair wins
Be comfortable doing good.
Pair a skirt with Skechers. Rock chinos and Chucks. Wear your best suit with Superstars. Anything goes—as long as you show up ready to support families and strengthen communities. Just lace up your favorite sneakers and help Sieda make a real difference.
Admission includes a full meal and one drink ticket per guest.
