If you’ve ever wanted to feel more confident, capable, and connected in your homesteading or self-reliance
journey, we’d love to invite you to Homesteaders of Iowa 2026 Expo & Midwest Conference, happening
Friday, February 27–, Saturday, February 28, at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. Please visit our website to purchase your tickets: https://homesteadersofiowa.com
Speakers' Welcome begins at 8:20AM each day ; Vendor Hall begins at 9:30AM each day. Classes end at 5:30PM; workshops end at 4:30PM.
This family-friendly two-day event is designed to give you practical knowledge you can actually use, whether
you’re brand new to homesteading or years into the lifestyle. We welcome individuals, couples, and families
who want to learn together and grow stronger skills for everyday life.
Here’s what you can expect to gain:
• Learn from trusted experts — Nationally known and local speakers covering food preservation,
gardening, livestock, preparedness, health, homeschooling, energy independence, and more.
• Hands-on workshops — Small-group sessions where you don’t just listen, you do (and often take
something home with you),
• Real solutions for everyday life — Skills that save money, build resilience, and support your family’s
long-term goals.
• A vendor hall with purpose and accessibility — Products, services, and nonprofit organizations that
align with homesteading, family values, and self-sufficiency. (This year, if you only want to SHOP in the
Vendor Hall, show up at the door with $5 per person - ages 15 and older. This does not allow entry to
any speakers or workshops, but is a great way to spend your day.)
• Community & encouragement — Connect with like-minded families who are walking the same path
This year’s conference also features expanded workshops based on attendee requests, making the experience
more interactive and personal than ever before.
Whether your interest is food security, sustainable living, education, health, or simply learning how to do
more for yourself and your family, this event offers something meaningful for everyone. We hope you’ll consider joining us for an inspiring, practical, and family-centered weekend.
